Blog & Glossary

Editorial Policy

How we write, verify and correct the content of our technical blog and glossary, so you know what to expect from every article.

Last updated: September 12, 2026

1. Who writes

Blog and glossary content is produced by the Nextsoft editorial team, without individual author bylines. We use AI tools to help draft content, but every fact, figure and claim goes through the verification process described below before publishing: AI doesn't replace that review, it speeds up the drafting step.

2. Sources

News articles include a "Sources" section with direct links to primary sources (official announcements, documentation, press releases) whenever possible. Glossary terms cite the origin of a concept when it helps explain it. Performance or adoption figures reported by a vendor are explicitly labeled as vendor-reported, not as independently verified data.

3. Fact-checking

Before publishing, we check facts against primary sources. In September 2026 we ran the entire blog and glossary archive through this kind of review: posts with inaccurate data were corrected or, when a correction wasn't reasonable, retired.

URLs of retired posts redirect to the blog index, so a broken link never leads to an empty page.

4. Content freshness

Much of our blog covers technology news, which ages quickly. Posts older than six months automatically show a notice stating that versions, pricing or releases mentioned may have changed since publication. That notice doesn't apply to content we mark as evergreen (for example, conceptual guides or glossary terms).

5. Sponsored content

We don't publish sponsored content or articles paid for by third parties. When we mention products or vendors, it's because they're relevant to the topic, not because of a commercial arrangement.

6. How to report an error

If you find incorrect or outdated information in an article or glossary term, you can report it through our contact page. We review every report and correct the content when warranted.

When we correct an article or term after publishing, the page shows the correction date as"Updated" next to the original publish date.

7. Technical glossary

Glossary terms explain software development, AI and legacy modernization concepts in plain language. When a term's origin adds useful context (for example, who coined it or which protocol standardized it), we mention and cite it.

8. AI-assisted drafting

We use AI tools to help draft content faster. This doesn't change our verification standard: every fact, figure and claim is checked against sources before publishing, regardless of which tool was used to write the draft.
